This is an introductory course in information security which presents the students an overview of the fundamental principles, the security problems, risk analysis, and policies. Topics include basic concepts, access control, security policies, authentication, assurance and trust, information flow, vulnerabilities analysis, incident response, and legal and ethical issues.
Prerequisite(s): CSCI 0220 or Departmental Approval.
