CSIT 0340 - Data Base Management Systems Credits: 3 Semester: 2nd Semester Lecture: 3 This course is designed to provide an understanding of database environments, basic technical concepts and system resources for data, data models, database management systems, database design, and use, management, and administration of databases. Students who successfully complete this course will be able to use the entity-relationship data model to represent business data requirements, to translate that model into a relational schema, and to build and use a relational database that implements the schema. Students will develop software to interact with a database using SQL statements.
Prerequisite(s): CSCI 0230 or Departmental Approval.
