CSIT 0325 - Survey of Operating Systems

Semester: 1st Semesters.

This course explores the fundamentals, administration principles and environments of operating systems. Aspects such as origins of this operating systems, the differences between UNIX and MS Windows, and basic system administration are covered. The student will learn to manage wide variety of network capabilities, management, drive mappings, security issues, user environments, and network utility services.

Prerequisite(s): CSCI 0220  or Departmental Approval.
