CHEM 0232 - General Chemistry II Credits: 4 Semester: Fall, Spring, and Summer Lecture: 4 This is the second course in a two-semester general chemistry sequence and continues the study of fundamental chemical principles. Topics include chemical kinetics, chemical equilibrium, acid-base chemistry, solubility and complex-ion equilibria, thermodynamics, electrochemistry, nuclear chemistry, and an introduction to organic chemistry. Emphasis is placed on quantitative problem-solving, critical thinking, and the application of chemical principles to the physical, biological, health, and engineering sciences. The course provides a foundation for advanced study in chemistry and related disciplines.
