A course designed for biology majors at the sophomore level. Emphasis is on fundamentals of biochemistry and molecular aspects of genetics. Topics covered include bioenergetics, cellular metabolism, structure and function of proteins and nucleic acids, genetic engineering and gene regulation.

Prerequisite(s): Biology Majors or permission of the Instructor. BIOL 0230 /BIOL 0231 , CHEM 0231
