APSC 0303 - Animal and Poultry Nutrition

Introduction to basic concepts of nutrition with emphasis on carbohydrate, protein, fat, mineral, vitamin, and energy requirements of various livestock and poultry classes. The course provides laboratory problems in formulating practical livestock and poultry rations as well as systems for feed analysis. Emphasis is also placed on efficient production and animal health as they relate to nutrition.

Prerequisite(s): CHEM 0222  or CHEM 0320  ”C”.
