Animal and Veterinary Sciences, Science Option, B.S.


This option is designed to provide the student with formal training in animal, poultry, and veterinary science and other related biological sciences. The student is offered basic and advanced training in animal, poultry, and veterinary science, chemistry, biology and life science. Career opportunities through this program include, but are not limited to animal health, animal feed and nutrition, genetics and biotechnology, reproductive physiology, animal production and management, pharmaceutical, and many aspects of biological and biomedical research,. Opportunities for advanced graduate studies may exist in numerous graduate (i.e., animal or poultry sciences, food and nutritional sciences, agricultural economics, and many aspects of biological science) and professional programs (i.e., veterinary or human medicine).
