EENG 0402 - FUNDAMENTALS OF ENERGY AND POWER SYSTEMS

Semester: 1st & 2nd, summer
Provide solid knowledge in fundamentals of power systems: generation, distribution and utilization systems. Analysis of three -phase circuits. Magnetic circuit concepts. Analysis of transformers and AC machines. Balanced Power Systems at Steady state conditions. Transmission line calculations. Systems analysis using bus admittance and impedance matrices. Power-flow analysis. Economic dispatch problem.
Prerequisite(s): EENG 0225,
EENG 0315, EENG 0322.
