MENG 0514 - Advanced Manufacturing

This course will prepare students for the new manufacturing environment by covering modern topics in additive manufacturing (3-D printing), subtractive manufacturing (e.g. CNC machines), hybrid manufacturing, and advanced metrology. Considerations in the design of parts for each method will be covered. Lean manufacturing will also be covered with a view of applying students’ skills to real world manufacturing problems.

Prerequisite(s): Graduate Standing and MENG 0314 - Manufacturing Processes.
