AENG 0542 - Computational Aerospace Structures Credits: 3 Semester: 1st or 2nd semester, summer on Demand. Lecture: 3 An overview of the Galerkin Method and other variational formulations is provided. FEM applications to linear static problems in aerospace structures are covered. In particular: axisymmetric solids, 3D solids, plates and shells, beams as well as special elements are covered. Software for analysis of representative aerospace structures are introduced.
Prerequisite(s): Graduate Standing and AENG 0342 - Aerospace Structures II
