OREN T100 - Foundation of Collegiate Learning Credits: 1 Foundation of Collegiate Learning is designed to assist incoming Transfer students (30 or more credits required) in their transition to the College environment at Tuskegee University. The course will focus on providing Transfer students with brief historical facts about Tuskegee University but most importantly with information on academic resources, policies and procedures, and academic regulations. The course will include learning modules in communication and mathematical/quantitative reasoning as well as discussions on test-taking strategies, time management and study skills. The latter seeks to promote more exemplary learning outcomes in regular courses. This part of the course will focus on providing students with additional knowledge and practice in communication/writing skills through assigned activities designed to stimulate critical thinking and generate solutions to specific problem sets. Students will also be provided with information on academic success strategies; leadership, ethical values and their rights and responsibilities as scholars in the academy.
