Stress-Strain relations, strain energy, general methods of elasticity, reciprocal theorems, energy methods and variational principles. The Rayleight-Ritz and Galerkin methods. Finite difference and relaxation method. Tensor application.
Prerequisite(s): ME 416 and Math 461. Graduate Standing.
