IPPD 0612 - Political and Economic Development in Comparative Perspective Credits: 3 This course will introduce students to the political processes of change and development. It will do by surveying the classical and contemporary theories of political and economic development ranging from neoclassical to structural to recent endogenous growth theories. The main focus will be on institutions and governance as conditions for growth and development. It will examine the relationship between political and economic change in selected countries as well as global patterns.
