IPPD 0606 - International Political Economy Credits: 3 This course takes an interdisciplinary approach that incorporates theoretical perspectives from other areas of social science in its attempt to understand global social problems and solve problems using intellectual inquiry in the social sciences. Additionally, understanding the historical forces at play in the development of IPE, this course will examine international economics and international politics that address issues such as international trade, international finance, hegemony, North-South relations, multinational corporations, globalization, structural adjustment policies, Third World development, and global disparities of inequality.
