Phenomenon of Electrical transients, Laplace transform and Duhamel’s Integral. Switching transients, Electromagnetic shielding. Modeling of devices under transient conditions. Transient network analyzer, Electromagnetic Transient Program (EMTP). Protection of systems and equipment against transient over voltages.
Prerequisite(s): EENG 0540 or Permission of Instructor.
