EDUC 0350 - Introduction to Foundations of Education. Credits: 3 Semester: 1st Semester Lab: Lab
A broad- based overview of the historical, philosophical, socio-cultural, financial, and legal foundations of education, and their implications for educational practices. Course content also includes students’ and teachers’ legal rights and responsibilities, the Americans with Disabilities ACT of 1990 (ADA), the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. Where appropriate, global perspectives are included.
