BIOL 0111 - General Biology I Credits: 3 Semester: 1st Semester, Summer, On Demand. Lecture: 3 An introductory course open to non-biology or non-science majors in which particular emphasis is given to the impact of biological phenomena on human related problems. Includes main aspect of cell structure, function, reproduction, and control mechanisms. Aspects of evolution and mechanisms of heredity are also discussed. The introduction to ecology stresses the effects of man and man-made products on regional and world-wide ecological systems.
