ARCH 0443 - Structures III

This course, the final course in a three-course structures sequence, covers masonry and reinforced concrete structural systems. The course content includes mechanics and strength of structural members and systems, types of structural members and systems and design and analysis of a structural system including the sizing and layout of components. The course content is presented in a context of sustainable design and in such a way as to be directly applied in the congruent ARCH 0401 design studio.
Prerequisite(s): ARCH 0332 , ARCH 0344 , MATH 0108 and PHYS 0301 , PHYS 0302 , and PHYS 0303 or PHYS 0313 , and PHYS 0304 or PHYS 0314 .
