ARCH 0343 - Structures I Credits: 3 Semester: 1st Semester Lecture: 3 This course, the first of a three- course sequence, covers wood structural systems. The course content includes mechanics and strength of wood structures, types of wood structural members, and the design and analysis of wood structural systems. The course content is presented in a context of sustainable design and in such a way as to be directly applied in the congruent ARCH 0301 design studio.
Prerequisite(s): ARCH Professional Program admittance, MATH 0108 , and PHYS 0301 , PHYS 0302 and PHYS 0303 or PHYS 0313 and PHYS 0304 or PHYS 0314 . Corequisite(s): ARCH 0331 .
