APSC 0601 - Nutrition Toxicology

Semester: 2nd Semester. (odd years).
Lecture: 3
This course addresses basic principles of nutrition and toxicology; classification of toxicants; principles underlying their absorption, distribution, biotransformation and excretion; diagnostics and scope of problems and economic impact to toxicants; how different domestic livestock species differ in their response to toxicants and specific toxicants. The students will be exposed to current research findings to illustrate development/refinement of nutritional toxicology principles.
