ANAT 301G - Gross Anatomy Credits: 4 This course deals with a topographic and systemic anatomic view of the canine, feline species, and the domestic bird. Emphasis is placed on the dissection of the dog & cat cadavers. Prosections, plastinated specimens, videos and slides are utilized as instructional aids Gross Anatomy 301 introduces the veterinary student to correct anatomic and medical nomenclature, and provides the initial base of anatomic knowledge required by a veterinarian. Although the domestic carnivores (dog, cat) and the domestic bird receive primary consideration, much of the information is equally applicable to other species of domestic animals.
