The principles of chemistry. Topics covered include: stoichiometry, atomic structure and periodic table, molecular structure, gas laws, kinetic molecular theory, oxidation and reduction, and properties of solids and liquids. The course is intended for science and engineering students who need a rigorous introductory course in chemistry as a prerequisite for advanced courses.
